Confidential Energy Company

Austin, Texas
Green Oasis created a custom moss wall and layered interior planting program for an Austin energy company, integrating greenery throughout the workplace.

Client: Confidential Energy Company

Green Oasis Specialist: Stuart McAbery

Design Intent

For this Austin workplace, a leading energy company sought a biophilic program to bring its broader sustainability focus into the built environment. The design team positioned greenery as an integral layer to the architecture, introducing organic texture and tonal depth across reception, circulation, and open work areas. Each element was selected to support the spatial concept while grounding the refined corporate environment in a consistent connection to nature.

Implementation

Green Oasis developed a layered planting program spanning two floors. A custom preserved moss wall anchors the space adjacent to reception, combining multiple moss species to create tonal variation. Because the moss is fully preserved, the feature requires no irrigation or mechanical infrastructure.

Along the primary corridor, large-format planters filled with foliage provide privacy, rhythm, and movement through the workplace. In the café, a continuous run of mixed plantings lines the back of the lounge seating, creating a living backdrop that softens the amenity space and frames the perimeter windows. Feature plantings in curated planters serve as additional focal points throughout the interior. Green Oasis maintains the living elements through an ongoing horticultural program to support long-term plant health and appearance.
