Design Intent

The design vision centered on bringing greenery into the heart of a multi-tenant office tower in downtown Austin. The goal was to integrate biophilic elements throughout shared lobbies, corridors, and gathering spaces in a way that complements the building’s sleek architecture while softening its edges. Greenery serves as a unifying thread, enhancing the tenant and visitor experience by grounding the environment in a sense of vitality and connection to nature.

Modern planters with tall greenery in the atrium at 301 Congress in Austin, designed by Green Oasis to soften architectural lines and enhance shared spaces.

Implementation

Green Oasis collaborated with the architectural and property teams to curate a cohesive palette of planters and plantings tailored to the building’s modern aesthetic. Our horticulturalists and design team selected species and placement strategies that balance sculptural presence with long-term performance. Moss walls were integrated into a transitional corridor, creating moments of discovery and contrast against the warm wood finishes. Across high-traffic areas, modern Vivo Collection planters anchor lush greenery, providing scale, rhythm, and texture while maintaining ease of maintenance in a commercial setting.

Green Features

  • Modern planter forms chosen to align with the building’s architecture, filled with greenery selected for scale, resilience, and visual harmony.
  • Moss wall panels introduce natural texture and biophilic relief in otherwise linear corridors.
  • Placement and plant selection guided by Green Oasis’ horticulturalists to ensure both aesthetic impact and long-term viability.
