Design Intent

Wellness is a core value at O’Melveny & Myers, supported by their firmwide Living Well program, which emphasizes balance, resilience, and psychological safety. Their new Austin office was envisioned as a modern, hospitality-inspired workplace that reflects this commitment. Designed by Gensler, the space provided opportunities to weave greenery into both custom millwork and freestanding planters. Green Oasis was brought in to extend the firm’s wellness philosophy into the physical environment, softening architectural lines and creating a calming counterpoint to the demands of the legal profession.

Implementation

Green Oasis partnered directly with O’Melveny & Myers to integrate greenery throughout their Austin office. Plants were curated and installed in custom millwork, including a built-in banquette planter, as well as in modern freestanding containers. Reception, lounge, and meeting areas were softened with layered plantings, while durable species on the terrace extended the wellness-driven design outdoors.

Green Features

  • Planter installations brought greenery into reception, lounges, and meeting areas.
  • Plantings were integrated into a built-in banquette planter designed by Gensler.
  • Outdoor planters with durable species extend biophilic design to the terrace.
  • Professional plant curation ensured scale, texture, and resilience suited to the space.
  • Plant maintenance reinforces the firm’s commitment to wellness and workplace vitality.
