Understanding ICF’s mission as a global consultancy rooted in ingenuity, IA Interior Architects envisioned a bespoke world map moss wall installation for the Reston corporate office. In collaboration with IA and HITT Contracting, Green Oasis was tasked with creating a preserved moss feature that reflects ICF’s international reach while supporting the project’s LEED certification goals. The vision: a dimensional green wall that embodies creativity, sustainability, and global connection.
Faced with a six-week timeline, our team quickly mobilized to provide renderings, green design support, and a tailored installation strategy. To achieve the dimensional effect, we engineered a double-layered substrate, allowing the continents to project outward from the wall. Forest Green and Light Green Reindeer Moss defined the landforms, while Flat Moss represented the oceans. This created a preserved moss composition that merges natural texture with purposeful storytelling.
