Following the success of Miro’s Amsterdam office, M Moser and Miro turned their attention to Austin. With the team doubling in size, the new workplace needed to not only accommodate growth but also inspire connection. To guide the design, focus groups brought together leadership and future occupants from around the world, ensuring the space reflected the needs and culture of its people.
At the heart of this vision was a commitment to biophilic design, using greenery and natural elements to strengthen wellbeing and foster collaboration.
Two full floors, a connecting staircase, and expansive outdoor terraces became the canvas for integrating planting strategies. In collaboration with M Moser Associates, MOSS Amsterdam, The Blackland Collaborative, and The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, the team introduced both indoor and outdoor greenery.
Native plant species were introduced to exterior terraces to attract local wildlife and strengthen ecological connections. Indoors, living greenery was placed to soften open work areas, creating visual anchors for collaboration zones, and provide restorative moments throughout the workday.
This holistic approach made the biophilic workplace design about more than aesthetics, supporting wellness, adaptability, and ecological impact.
A defining element of the project was flexibility. Green Oasis designed and developed mobile planter modules that allowed the workplace to adapt over time. These planters were used to form privacy screens, meeting zones, and dynamic layouts, evolving as the team’s needs changed.
This innovation later inspired the launch of our Connect Planters line, which is now manufactured and distributed across the U.S. By linking design intent with long-term usability, the Miro project highlights how biophilic elements can scale into product innovation.
